Little Saiyalings - The College Years
By: MU

Authors Note: This chapter is part three of a four part saga.  My original concept was only to have three parts, but that kind of fell apart when I sat down to write the next chapter.  See, I kind of hand write everything before I type it on the computer because the ideas seem to flow a little better.  The problem was that it became too long for the format that I was going for, and since I won’t have as much time to write as I previously thought…well, you know the drill.  Now Chapter 9 has been divided into Chapters 9 and 10.  And, it is almost fitting in hindsight.  Enjoy.

Chapter 9 – Moving day: Part 3 – Waiting for Freeza.

Three hours later, the group had finally reached the front of the line.  Well, almost.  The person in front of our group had been taking an extremely long time.  This person and his parent seemed to be fighting with the dormitory supervisor, and it seemed like it was going to go on forever.  Bulma, Chi-Chi, Dr. Briefs, and the Ox King just ignored it for the time being.  Meanwhile, Goku fell asleep as he leaned against the Ox King’s leg.  Krillin, on the other hand, sat down on the ground and pretended to be looking at the sky.  He really was listening to the conversation that the people in front of them were having with the dorm supervisor.  He had tried not to, but he had already thought way too long about the things that Pud had said.  He figured it was time to worry about somebody else for a change.

 “Mr. Cold.”

“That’s King Cold, to you, my good man,” the large, purple and grey man with horns said.

“Right, King Cold.  Got it.  We tried to pull as many strings as we could to get your son into a private room, but there just isn’t enough dorm space as it is sir…”

“Even after Father’s generous contribution to the foundation?” the short (about 4 foot), mostly grey with a little purple man said.  He was noticeably smoother than his father, as Krillin observed, but had just as much of a yuppie voice.  It was just a little scratchier.

“No, Freeza, there isn’t,” the dorm supervisor replied.  “That money is to be used for scholarships.”

“Then I want to live off campus!” Freeza squeaked.

“You can’t, Mr. Freeza,” said the dorm supervisor, “It’s the rules.”

“That’s Prince Freeza,” King Cold corrected.  “Do you want me to just buy this university and get this whole mess over with?”

“No, Father,” Freeza slyly smiled, “Maybe it would be good for me to live with these poor losers for a while.  It could teach them some culture.”

“Fine son.  If you want to.  I’ll send the movers to move you in.”

 “Thank you, Father.”

King Cold patted his son on the shoulder, “I’ve given you all of the knowledge you need in order to rule this campus.  Use it well.”

 They both smiled.

King cold then turned around and began to walk away.  He took out his cell phone, dialed, said a few things, and then some men came running carrying lavish furniture, appliances, and boxes.  All of these things apparently belonged to Freeza.

Krillin then stopped paying attention, as Freeza’s movers quickly got his stuff out of their way and Freeza and the moving helper entered the dorms, led by the dorm super.

“Bulma Briefs and Chi-Chi, daughter of the Ox King, you’re next,” the next available moving helper exclaimed.

Bulma and Chi-Chi stopped talking amongst themselves while Krillin kicked Goku awake.  The adults also started to pay attention again.  The moving helper handed Bulma and Chi-Chi the necessary forms, which they began to fill out.  Dr. Briefs and the Ox King turned to Krillin and Goku.

“Well, boys,” Dr. Briefs started, “you two came to help our daughters move in?  Then I think it’s time that you get started.”  He then took a tin box about the size of a jewelry box out of his lab coat.  It clearly had the Capsule Corp. logo on it.  “These are Bulma’s things, minus her…ahem…more personal belongings.  You will carry them for her, won’t you Krillin?”  He said as he handed the box to him.

“Okay,” Krillin agreed and took the box.

“Meow,” Kitty said, and began purring as he rubbed his head against Dr. Briefs’ neck in some weird, 2-dimensional movement.

“That’s right, Kitty.  Krillin is a good boy.”  Dr. Briefs then pet the cat on the head.  Once finished, he folded his arms.

The Ox King turned to Goku, “Well, Goku, since you’re Chi-Chi’s boyfriend, and since I can’t fin in the dorm building, would you carry all of her things up to the room?”

“Sure,” Goku smiled in response.  The Ox King put down the giant bag.

“Ha Goku!  You have to carry waaayyyy more stuff than me,” Krillin teased.

Bulma, who had just finished filling out her paperwork, turned around and scolded him.  “Krillin, that’s not very nice!  You’re going help him too.”

Goku then bent down and picked up the sack, almost as if in response.  “That’s okay, Krillin.  I’ve got it.”  The words came from his mouth as if he had exerted no effort in lifting the bag.  Both Bulma and Krillin looked stunned, but it didn’t seem to concern Dr. Briefs and the Ox King.

At that moment, Chi-Chi finished her paperwork.  The moving helper than said to all of them, “If you will follow me, I’ll show you to your room.”  The girls began to follow him as he finished his statement, as he walked into the dorm building.  The boys followed them, and the fathers turned around and began to walk away.

“We’re leaving; you boys can take it from here!”  Dr. Briefs said as Kitty meowed in agreement.  The last thing that Krillin and Goku heard as they entered the building was the Ox King saying, “Have fun!”

TO BE CONTINUED…(for the last time)
