Little Saiyalings - The College Years

Authors Note: This chapter is a little different than the rest that I have written so far.  It is more of a summary/exposition chapter, with no real dialog in it.  Don’t worry, there will be more dialog next time.  I hope that you all like the chapter!

Chapter 11 – College Life

 Several days had passed since the moving day, and things were going well for everyone in the LSCY gang.  They had got together the day after moving upon Pud’s request.  Everyone was there with the exception of Vegeta, who wasn’t invited, Yamcha, who was unreachable and also wasn’t invited, and Krillin, who was invited but had previous photographic commitments at the Roshi household.  Most of the time during the gathering Goku, Bulma, Chi-Chi, 18, and Pud just recalled old times, and talked about their current situations.  Everyone was in agreement that Bulma had the hardest schedule, being that she was actually skipping the bachelor degree process and heading right toward the doctoral program with her six majors.  They are as follows: Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Theoretical Quantum Physics, Genetic Engineering, and Fashion Design.  Everyone was also in agreement that Goku had the easiest schedule, at least for him.  He selected Kinesiology as his major, though he has no real clue what that word meant.  Regardless, his schedule consists of mostly physical training classes, which he enjoys anyway, and general education classes.  (Author’s Note: Goku is kind of scared of the actual theory parts of his major).

 As for how the rest of those few days went, most of it was just spent getting used to living the college lifestyle.  Bulma, Chi-Chi, and 18 made a lot of friends with other girls on their floor.  Pud also made friends, or at least admirers and mind controlled drones.  Either way, he didn’t do anything too evil with his powers…he was going to reserve that for the drunks once the party started.

 Krillin had to get used to living in the Roshi household.  Not that there was much to get used to since Chancellor Roshi had a huge mansion.  The weirdest thing for Krillin was that he kept seeing this turtle hanging around.  He even had to share the hot tub with him once.  The turtle seemed quite intelligent, for an animal, and a though even occurred to Krillin once; I wonder…if I invite that crazy Yamcha over, would he be able to talk to the turtle like he talks to his cat and pig?  Nahhh…  Later that night, to his surprise, he saw the turtle in a red bathrobe sitting by the fireplace, smoking a pipe, and reading a Dickens novel.  Then he changed his mind…but just ignored it and went to bed since his first day of class was tomorrow.

 The only people who had any trouble adjusting to each other, and life in general, were Goku and Vegeta.  Since Goku had already moved his things in before Vegeta got the chance, Vegeta decided that putting a line down the middle of the room and telling “Kakarott” to stay on his side would prove to be ineffective; especially since they were working with only a limited amount of space.  Therefore, Vegeta and his father only divided up certain things, like the refrigerator.  When Goku returned from helping Bulma and Chi-Chi move in, Vegeta proceeded to lay down the law of the room.  Goku didn’t understand most of what Vegeta was talking about, so he just agreed to his terms.

 Over the rest of the few days remaining before school, Goku made a few friends of the guys on their wing.  Vegeta, meanwhile, didn’t care.  He never left the room much except to go train, work on his car and motorcycle, and eat.

 Goku and Vegeta also got into a few verbal disagreements over various things.  Most of the time, Goku was just defending himself and Vegeta was yelling at him.  One time it almost came to blows, but their wing’s Resident Assistant (RA), named Amun, stopped them.  He made them both apologize to each other.  Goku apologized to Amun as well.  He decided that Amun’s new nickname would be Amun-Ra, since he had heard that name before and RA was his position, though he didn’t know what the name meant.  The name stuck with the rest of the wing, and from then on he was called Amun-Ra.  (Author’s Note: Look that up if you don’t know what it means).

 The only thing Goku and Vegeta ever did together was play video games.  This came to pass because Goku played a lot of them, and Vegeta couldn’t let “Kakarott” be better at that than him, since he loved video games as well.  So, they both played, mostly doing fighting and sports games.  They were both insanely competitive, and would both gloat heavily when they won; that was exactly 50% of the time.  They would play until they got tired, and then went to bed, and think about beating the other in a game in the near future as sleep came to them.

 That brings us to the current day, the first day of classes.  Who knows what perils lie in store for our “heroes” in an actual educational environment?  You’ll have to keep reading to see!
