Little Saiyalings - The College Years
By: MU

Authors Note: This is the final chapter in the Moving Day group.  Then we’ll move on to something else…I’m not giving any spoilers.  You’ll have to wait and see.  This is another treat for those who remember the original LS.

Chapter 10 – Moving Day: Final  – Perfect Beauty

Goku and Krillin followed the girls into the dorm, up the stairs (3 flights) and to the girls’ room slowly, but surely.  Goku didn’t say much of anything, but Krillin’s mind drifted off to the conversation he had been observing only a few minutes prior.

“Hey, Goku, did you happen to hear any of the things that short, grey and purple guy said in front of us in the line before you fell asleep?”

 “No.”

“Oh, he just sounded like one of those arrogant, show-off types, that’s all.  His name is Freeza.  Ever heard of him?”

“Nope,” Goku again replied, “Reminds me of a guy on the football team.  Cell is his name, I think.  Have you ever heard of him?”

 “No,” Krillin answered.

“Well, they call him ‘Perfect’ Cell where he comes from…which nobody really knows.  He’s quite well built and strong.  The guys on the team are afraid he’ll take all of the girls away from them at the parties because he’s very handsome.  I think that the real reason they call him ‘Perfect’ Cell is because he is good at every position in the game.  No lie.”

Krillin pondered these words for a few seconds.  “Well, why are you still the quarterback then, Goku?”

“Because Cell tells me he won’t try out for my position until he sees how powerful I can become through training…whatever that means.”

“That doesn’t sound arrogant,” Krillin chuckled, “That just sounds plain stupid.”

“Goku!  Krillin!  Hurry up!”  The collective voices of Bulma and Chi-Chi could be heard ahead of them.

Goku and Krillin quickly made their way to the room.  Once there, they helped the girls unpack and organize the relatively small amount of space into something livable.  When that task was completed, they all sat down, took a breather, and ended up chatting for a while.  After about an hour, the tow females kicked the two males out of the room.  The whole process lasted about 3 hours, and it was late in the afternoon when the boys left the girls’ room.

As they slowly made either way down the stairs, they began to joke as usual.  When they got to the bottom, Krillin (who was going first) opened the door to the lobby.  When he did so, he saw the most beautiful thing he had previously ever seen, and will probably ever see.  He jaw dropped as he stared at the beautiful, blonde haired, blue eyed girl.  He continued to walk forward; about 3 feet beyond the door, then stopped and completely gave into the stupor.

Goku, on the other hand, was completely unaffected by whatever was getting to Krillin.  He just walked past him and went up to the girl.  “Hello 18.  How are you today?”

“Good Goku…except there’s no practice today,” said 18 as she came over to give Goku a high five.  “Hey, who’s your bald frien…ohmigod!  It’s Krillin!”

At this, Krillin’s whole childhood flooded back into his mind, and he snapped out of the trance.  “Hey 18, you’re lookin’ good!  Didn’t know you would come back to college here, after not going to high school with us.”  In his mind all he could think was LOVE…LOVE…I’M IN LOVE…

“Thanks, Krillin…I think.”  18 half blushed, and half gave him a funny look.  “I’ve been here for a week.”

Goku smiled, “She’s defensive end on defense, and tight end on offense.  She kicks every guy’s butt on the football team at every practice.”

What a WOMAN!  She plays tight end, and from the looks of it…also has one.  Krillin though to himself as he said, “Cool.  Nice to have talent this year…”

At that statement, 18 got angry.  “What the hell is that supposed to mean, baldy!”

Krillin was then overwhelmed with a feeling that was all too familiar to him in his dealings with 18 when he was younger.  That feeling…fearing for his life.  He decided that he needed to say something…anything…to get himself out of this awkward situation.  “What I meant is that you’re very talented.  I’m looking forward to coming to the football games this year…the team should be unbeatable!”

18’s sour look melted back into a gentile smile.  Apparently, she had bought it.  Krillin decided it would be best if he didn’t say anything anymore, especially since Goku and 18 started talking about football practice.  The conversation lasted about 20 minutes, during with time Krillin realized that this is what Pud had been talking about.

What heavenly pain, Krillin thought to himself as he observed 18 in the final seconds of conversation with Goku.

Once the conversation ended, pleasantries were exchanged, and Krillin got a handshake from 18.  In his mind, it seemed to last forever.

As Goku and Krillin walked out of the building, and towards President’s Hall, Goku made an observation.  “You like her, don’t you?”

“What?  Goku, what in the hell are you talking about?”

 “Krillin and 18, sittin in a tree…”

“Stop it!”  Krillin punched Goku in the shoulder, but he had to jump up in the air a little to do it.

At that, Goku laughed.  He quieted down soon, but wore a smile all the way home.
