Dear Black-Ops,

Every time I go to the site it seems that nothing has changed. Why is that? I would like you explain why the site hasn’t been updating since April. Are you guys just lazy, or is there some “timetable” you have to create suspense? Maybe it’s because you like to torture us. I would really like an ASAP.

Dear Anger Patron,

I’m glad to hear that people are visiting the site. However I’m sorry to that yes there hasn’t been an update for quite some time. This is most unfortunate since we have tons of things we’re planning to post. We’re all getting back in the school mode and thinking for a change. Summer can do a lot to the brain, as I’m sure many of you already know. I have no good excuse as to why we haven’t been updating but here it is anyway.

In case you didn’t know we (the developers and contributors to the site) all attend the same college. When the spring semester is over most up us leave town within a week. Those that stay work their arses off to pay for school, even those of us who leave work to pay for school. Another pitfall is that once off of campus our Internet access is severely limited. I myself am reduced to a 56K modem connection which I don’t have access to 24/7. I consider myself lucky if I get a chance to use it once every 2-3 days. Usually it’s only about once a week. This results in multiple problems:

1) It makes it hard to communicate with one another. Yeah we could use the phone, but long distance charges aren’t very fun.

2) During the summer nice days are many and it’s hard to sit at computer anywhere with out getting distracted by the great “scenery” passing by the window, or walking in the park.

3) We’re not machines, sometimes our brains need time to process and think up crazy new developments. We don’t plan doldrums they sort of happen, as I’m sure you know. (Remember that paper you wrote the night before is was due?)

We don’t have a timetable to torture your poor “pure” souls. That could be a considered a perk that results from us being lazy. I don’t have an excuse, nor should this be considered one. Just keep in mind that we are “human” (some more than others) in most respects. Updating can take anywhere from ten minutes to a couple of hours, depending on what has to be added or subtracted from the site. Keep that in mind the next time you see the page. I believe I can say with confidence that the up date this goes in will be a full update.
